The SDR Forum announced today 14 technology demonstrations that will illustrate state-of-the-art technologies in Dynamic Spectrum Access, Wideband Receivers, Cognitive Mesh Radio, Waveform Portability, Radio Testing and more. These demonstrations, provided by organizations that include Anritsu, CRC, CTVR, D-TA, GateHouse, OpenSDR, PrismTech, Rohde & Schwarz, Sundance DSP, Superlec, TNO and Virginia Tech, will take place during SDR ’08, the premier event for the reconfigurable radio community to be held October 27-30 in Washington, D.C.
Technology demonstrations will also be given by student teams participating in the pre-conference judging of the SDR Forum’s Smart Radio Challenge (http://www.radiochallenge.org/), a worldwide competition in which student engineering teams design, develop and test software defined and cognitive radio technologies that address specific problems relevant to the advanced wireless community. Judging of this contest will take place on October 26th immediately preceding the conference.
