SDR Forum Announces New SATCOM Special Interest Group and Approves Three Important New Work Products
During its 61st General Meeting, international wireless industry member consortium The SDR Forum formed a new SATCOM Special Interest Group to explore business, regulatory, and technical issues associated with the use of reconfigurable radio technologies in commercial and defense satellite communications.
Other notable accomplishments at the SDR Forum's meeting included:
The approval by the SDR Forum’s member organizations of three important work products that are critical in helping to build an ecosystem of vendors supporting interoperable radio technologies, reducing cost of development and time to market
The announcement of a reduction in the membership dues for academic institutions, in addition to the current Large Company, Medium Company, Small Company and Government/Non-profit levels.
